Fully Functional Example Student Organization
Basically this is what your organization's page will look like. Of course, the title, nav and content will all be your own.
Now here's what your editable regions will look like in Dreamweaver
![]()
- Subtitle Image and Right Photo are yours to change, the template uses the two images you see above. There is a tutorial for constructing those in Fireworks: here.
- The next editable region is your Organization's name. This space is very flexible and can be an image. The font, color and size, if you do use text, can be changed with your properties bar. (see web policies: text apperance)
- Contact Information should be "mailto" links to different officers who can answer questions. You don't need to list the Webmaster, because their email will be down at the Maintained By region.
- The Body is the most flexible region of the template. It is now completely impossible to break the headers and footers.
- You no longer have to worry about getting in trouble for not having the Student Organizational Webpage Disclaimer linked on your webpage. It is embedded in the template, along with a link to the Cornell College homepage.
- The navigation and the "Last Updated" information are run by PHP. Because of this, all page extensions should be .shtml.
