Young Alumni
Welcome, Cornell College young alumni! As a graduate from the past ten years you are part of a community of alumni who have the power to transform Cornell's future, the future of today's students, and become the next generation of leaders for the college.
See what you can do for Cornell.
If you look around, you'll be able to connect your life today with your Cornell experience. The distinctiveness of learning through OCAAT, the opportunity to connect with others through co-curricular activities, social groups and organizations; expanding your horizons with off-campus study; putting everything you learned in the classroom to the test in the Center for Extraordinary Opportunities - Dimensions, Berry Center, Center for Law and Society and Cornell Fellows.
You can help current students make the same connections by making an annual gift to Cornell's Annual Fund.
Stay connected with your classmates and get involved with the life of Cornell. There are many ways that you can use your skills and passions as an alumni volunteer.
- Class Agent Program. Class Agents work with the College Advancement Office to write letters twice a year to their classmates updating them on news from the college, sharing class news updates and encouraging classmates to support the Annual Fund. You can find a complete list of current class agents and more information about the program on the class agent portal.
- Young Alumni Advisory Committee. The Young Alumni Advisory Committee (YAAC) works with Annual Fund staff to engage young alumni in the life of Cornell. Committee members reach out to their peers through out the year to encourage young alumni giving to Cornell through young alumni inititatives like Young Alumni Giving Month.
- Alumni Events. There's a lot more to alumni activities than coming back to campus for reunions. By working with the Alumni Office and a few other alumni in your area, you can generate that Cornell Connection in your own area.
- Career Engagement. Help students and recent grads find internships and employment by volunteering with the Career Engagement Center. The most valuable contacts Cornell students have are Cornell alumni. Networking, internships, mock interviews, and job shadowing opportunities are a few of the many ways the Career Engagement Center and alumni continue to demonstrate how strong and positive they are about keeping the Cornell connection alive and thriving.
- Student Recruitment. Share your Cornell experience with prospective students at college fairs and receptions and during interviews and phone calls. Recent grads who volunteer in the Cornell Alumni Recruitment Effort (CARE) are particulary valuable to the program. Alumni who help in the student recruitment effort have a real impact on the future of the College.
