Parent Giving

Cornell has always benefited from the generosity of current and past parents to provide a premier liberal arts education. As a parent, you already know the value of a Cornell College education, but you might not know that tuition only covers about 65% of the actual cost to educate each student. Annual Fund gifts and endowment income must make up the difference.

The Annual Fund is an opportunity for parents to join alumni and friends of Cornell in helping to bridge the gap between the actual cost of a Cornell education and tuition. Annual gifts from Cornell parents, as a gesture of support above and beyond tuition, serve as a vote of confidence about Cornell's unique experience. Your gift, regardless of the amount, is testimony of your support and helps maintain the excellence of our unique educational experience.

Here are some examples of how your gifts help Cornell:

Career Services
Students can attend workshops at Career Services on resume writing and interviewing strategies before graduation. Whether they are exploring careers or majors; looking for internships; seeking full-time employment after graduation; or considering graduate school; Career Services is a valuable resource for your son or daughter. Career Services is supported by the Annual Fund.

Cole Library
More than a place to read and study, Cole Library has a multitude of resources to help students succeed in the classroom. Students can visit the Writing Studio to develop their writing skills or improve their study skills. The Academic Media Studio is available to help students with their multimedia technology needs. From researching online databases to utilizing the Quantitative Reasoning Studio, Cole Library is a valuable part of every student's experience. Cole Library is supported by the Annual Fund.
