Leadership Circle

The Leadership Circle of Cornell College was created in fiscal year 2000-2001 to 1) provide for the long-term financial stability of the college, 2) promote outstanding volunteer leadership and 3) give Cornell a competitive edge.

It is an advancement program that is proving to be crucial to Cornell's success as a premier liberal arts college. Its members support and foster the college’s mission as a caring environment for living and learning characterized by respect for the dignity and worth of each individual.

Those who make annual outright, unrestricted gifts of $10,000 or more to Cornell are automatically members of the Leadership Circle. The Leadership Circle is an entrepreneurial group of individuals whose meaningful support impacts the college well beyond daily operations, providing directly for an extra margin of excellence.

However, members are more than extraordinary donors, they are true friends and partners with the college helping to chart its future with their guidance and support. They have a direct impact on the quality of a Cornell education.

Leadership Circle members benefit through interaction with each other and with the president via special communication about issues facing the college. In addition, members are invited to attend the annual meeting and retreat of the Cornell Advancement Strategic Planning Group. This annual retreat provides meaningful conversation and insight into the mission of the college and fellowship with one other.
