How I spend my work day: Oversee Cornell fund raising programs, the Office of College Communications and the Alumni Office; campaign planning; President's Council meetings; work with Trustees; meet with alumni and other donors; and facilitate annual gifts, and major and planned capital and endowment gifts. 

What I can do for you:   I can answer your questions about Cornell and help facilitate gifts to benefit our tremendous students, faculty and staff.

About me: I am a 1994 Cornell College graduate and reside in Mount Vernon with my wife, Melanie Lucero Wilch '92 and our four children.  Prior to returning to the Hilltop I was the executive director of development for the Iowa Law School Foundation at the University of Iowa College of Law in Iowa City, Iowa.  In addition to my affiliation with the University of Iowa I worked for approximately four years as a fund raiser at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

I am the fifth family member to attend Cornell following in the footsteps of my sister-in-law Margaret Harger Wilch '79, brother Dan Wilch '81, cousin Andy Wilch non-grad '83, and my wife Melanie Lucero Wilch '92.

My roots:   I am the youngest of 9 children and grew up in the shadow of King Chapel a block from the railroad tracks on the northside of Mount Vernon.

One thing I enjoy most about Cornell:  I enjoy hearing the stories of fellow alumni and friends and working on gifts to forward Cornell's mission. 

One little known fact about me:  As a Mount Vernon High School student I was a three time All-State vocalist.
