Cornell College has a very active German club, which is responsible for bringing German cultural events to the Cornell Campus. We are open to all students, whether or not you speak German. 

Come to our meetings on Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm in College Hall 311. 

During the 2012-2013 year we have or will have: 

  • attended Oktoberfest in the Amana Colonies
  • seen a showing of Nosferatu (German silent film) at the Englert Theater in Iowa City
  • contributed hundreds of Apfelstrudel to the Languages Dept. Winter Bake-Off
  • watched several German films
  • created a Relay for Life team (email arott15, nsaito15 or aengland16 for details on how to join) 
  • helped the German 315 class create an exhibit about the Weimar Republic to open March 6th at noon in the Thomas Commons
  • hosted a visit from the Program Manager of the Jewish Museum of Maryland
  • celebrated our own music video/game night at the end of Block 7
  • held a Fairytales Symposium at the end of Block 8
