AGI Geoscience & Public Policy Internships: AGI is seeking outstanding geoscience students with a strong interest in federal science policy for a semester or summer internship. Interns will gain a first-hand understanding of the legislature process and the operation of executive branch agencies. Applications should include official copies of college transcripts, a resume with the names and contact information for two references, and a cover letter stating your science and policy interests and what you feel you can contribute to the program. Geotimes, the monthly news magazine of the earth sciences, is now accepting applications for its 2006 summer internship. We are looking for individuals, preferably with a geoscience background, who are interested in science writing and journalism. Based at the American Geological Institute in Alexandria, Va., the internship is 12 weeks long and includes a $3,500 stipend.
