Applying for financial assistance at Cornell is easy—just follow these simple steps and don't forget the Cornell College FAFSA code. 

First-year students
1. Complete your admissions application as soon as possible. We can't process your financial aid until you've been admitted. Applying automatically puts you in the running for our Cornell first-year scholarships
2. Complete the FAFSA. We've compiled some FAFSA tips for you to make filing simpler.
3. Review the Student Aid Report and correct any errors on the FAFSA website
4. If you have any special circumstances not reflected in the FAFSA that you'd like us to consider, tell us
Transfer students
1. Complete your admissions application as soon as possible. We can't process your financial aid until you've been admitted. Applying automatically puts you in the running for our Cornell transfer merit scholarships
2. Complete the FAFSA.
3. Review the Student Aid Report and correct any errors on the FAFSA website
4. If you have any special circumstances not reflected in the FAFSA that you'd like us to consider, tell us
Enrolled (returning) students
1. Complete the Renewal FAFSA by April 1. (You can start as early as Oct. 1.) If you complete it after the deadline, you may receive less financial aid.
2. Review the Student Aid Report and correct any errors on the FAFSA website.
