Environmental Science Concentration
All students majoring in Environmental Studies must take the following core courses:
- Physical Geology (GEO 111) or Investigations in Geology (GEO 114)
- Foundations: Cellular Biology (BIO 141)
- Foundations II (BIO 142)
- Ecology (BIO 321) or an accredited off-campus ecology course
The concentration in Environmental Science entails the following:
- Environmental Geology (GEO 331)
- American Politics (POL 262)
- Environmental Politics (POL 368) or Wilderness Politics (POL 371)
- American Nature Writers (ENG 350) or Environmental Ethics (PHI 224)
- Chemical Principles I & II (CHE 121 & 122) or Accelerated General Chemistry (CHE 161)
- Two electives numbered 200 or above (see the course catalogue for approved elective courses)
