Cole Library

The library renovation completed in fall 2008 completely replaced the air conditioning and ventilation systems in the building. The air handler and building automation systems were replaced with new, energy efficient equipment. Chilled water systems to support the air conditioning load for the building were installed at the central heating plant. This system includes a frictionless chiller and cooling tower with variable frequency drives for high efficiency performance. Building automation systems provide a building-wide set point with user control in each zone via a + or – two degree thermostat.
