Campus Biodiesel Initiative
The Cornell facilities department in conjunction with chemistry faculty are working to size and specify equipment to construct a biodiesel refinery. This refinery will use waste cooking oil from Sodexo food service to create biodiesel fuel for use in campus grounds care equipment. This biodiesel product will be used to supplement the fuel current burned in campus tractors, mowers and plow trucks.
