Tips for Working in a Group
  • One of the most important points of basic behavior in a group is common courtesy. Don't be afraid to speak up, but don't forget to allow everyone in the group to talk also. Instead of putting down other’s ideas, talk through them and see if there is some information you can use.

  • Cooperation is key! Give suggestions but also listen to the suggestions of others. Remember, work together and allow everyone to participate; one person should not always be in charge.

  • Make sure all group members understand the task at hand; don’t assume that everyone knows what is going on, when they may actually not.

  • Working with others is something you will do throughout your whole life; try and solve problems within the group before coming to me.

  • Keep me informed about what your group is doing. That way, I will be better prepared on how to help if your group needs assistance later down the road.
