Deadlines
First Year Students:
1) Attend Education Department Informational Meeting - TBA Oct. 2011
2) Complete 2011-2012 Registration
(Register for AT LEAST 2 - 200 level education courses)
3) Accommodation Evening (attend if necessary) 13 Sept. 2011
4) Recommend taking the Praxis I Pre-Professional tests
either March 10, April 28, June 9, or July 21 of 2012
Sophomores:
1) Attend the Education Department Informational Meeting - TBA Oct. 2011
2) Complete Teacher Preparation Program Application - 1 Dec 2011 (encouraged)
3) Declaration of Major - 1 Feb. 2012
4) Successful completion of Praxis I Pre-Professional tests - strongly recommend taking on November 12, 2011 but January 14, 2012 is acceptable. Application materials located in College Hall 103. Registration materials due at ETS office AT LEAST five weeks before test date.
4) BSS Application - students MUST complete a minimum of fourteen courses AFTER the BSS prospectus is filed. This should be filed before leaving campus for the summer after the sophomore year.
Juniors:
1) Student Teaching Application - TBA Dec 2011 College Hall 308
2) Meeting with Mentor Teacher before 30 May 2012
3) Senior Check with Registrar before 1 May 2012
Seniors:
2012 graduates speak with Cindy Postler regarding licensure application materials
