Student Groups

ECB students are actively engaged in the department and across campus. The ECB department, with assistance from the Berry Center, supports three student groups:

Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) – Economics Honors Society
ODE is an international honors society in economics for undergraduates with exceptional academic achievement. Working closely with faculty members, members of the honors society provide valuable tutoring services to students enrolled in introductory courses in the department. Membership is by departmental invitation.

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
SIFE is an international undergraduate student organization that supports entrepreneurship. Students organize business and community projects on their campuses, and then compete in regional and national competitions. Membership is open to all students.

Cornell Financial Group (CFG)
The Cornell Financial Group provides an innovative, progressive, and informative atmosphere for its members to learn about investing and to put theory into practice.  CFG manages a significant portfolio with members researching stocks, monitoring trends, and placing trades.  The group creates tear sheets for every company it researches, continuing to follow its portfolio through the summer. Membership is open to all students.
