You can choose or change your meal plan now (Cornell username and password required). IMPORTANT: Because of an unexpected error that occurred with the launch of the new website design, any submission from noon on Thursday, July 31 and 8 a.m. on Friday, August 1 was not received. Those individuals who logged in during that time will need to resubmit their request. We apologize for that inconvenience.
The 20 meals per week and the 14 meals per week options are the same cost. The 14 meals per week comes with flex dollars each semester. The 20 meals per week option is a better per meal value and is a good choice for students who eat three meals a day most days while the 14 meals per week option offers additional flexibility and is a good choice for students who eat two meals a day most days. Refer to the College's tuition and fees for current meal plan rates.
Process and timeline
All students who are eligible for the 7 meal plan or who are eligible for a meal plan exemption will indicate their preferred meal plan when they select that housing option. All students who will be on the 20 or 14 meal plan will select their preferred meal plan over the summer; any student who does not select a meal plan during that time will be assigned the 20 meals per week option.
Students may change their meal plan at any time during the first two weeks of fall semester and during the first week of spring semester (using the link above).
Additional information about changing a meal plan
If you change from the 20 meals per week option to the 14 meals per week option, then we will add $100 to your flex dollars account. If you change from the 14 meals per week option to the 20 meals per week option, we will readily process that if you have not spent any of that semester's $100 allotment of flex dollars. If you have spent any of that flex dollar allotment, you will be required to repay what you have spent before we can process the change.
The form will be available over the summer through Friday of the second week of Block 1 for fall semester requests and again late in Block 4 through the Friday of the first week of Block 5. Students who submit this form late in Block 4 will continue on their current meal plan through the balance of fall semester.
Upperclass students eligible for the 7-meal plan or for a meal plan exemption and who wish to change their meal plan should contact our office; those individuals should not complete this form.
