Medical Terminology 101

"Hematologist", "bacillary angiomatosis", "rhinotillexomania". What in the heck do these things mean!? (See answers below) If you are interested in learning the basics of decoding medical terminology, then this workshop is for you.

On Sunday, March 19th, learn the basic prefixes, suffixes, and base words to help you understand medical terminology. This workshop will deepen your understanding of medical terminology, and help you sound intelligent when you are job shadowing, writing those essays, and interviewing for medical and graduate school. (And it will allow you to impress your friends with big words!)

The workshop will be a mixture of lecture, interactive group activities, and individual problem solving. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop, and several prizes will be awarded!

Prizes include: Gift certificates to: Cornell bookstore, the Ratt, Best Buy, the Olive Garden, and Barnes and Noble!

RSVP to Bobbi Buckner Bentz to participate!
