Bobbi Buckner Bentz

Bobbi Buckner Bentz, MHA, MPH, joined Cornell in June 2005. Ms. Bentz is a Cornell alumna and received her B.A. in Economics and Business with a minor in Psychology. She also serves as the Class Agent of her Cornell graduating class and served on the Cornell College Alumni Board for three years.

After graduating from Cornell, Bentz attended the University of Iowa and received a Master's of Health Administration and a Master's of Public Health degrees. While at the University, Ms. Bentz worked at both the College of Medicine and the College of Public Health. Her work in the College of Medicine was in the area of physician recruitment and retention within the state of Iowa. At the College of Public Health, she worked at the Iowa Center for Evaluation Research and conducted program evaluations on public health topics ranging from the statewide Iowa Medical Home Initiative to the Making Connections project in Des Moines. Her graduate practicum project focused on the demand trends of primary care providers in Iowa.

Prior to joining the Cornell community, Ms. Bentz was a Health Policy Analyst at the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) in Washington, D.C. As a member of the Health Care Team at the GAO, she was involved in analyses of physician payments under the Medicare program and the provision of mental health care to soldiers and their families under the Department of Defense.

Ms. Bentz lives in North Liberty with her husband, Adam Bentz, Defensive Coordinator of the Cornell football team, and their dog, Royal.
