Weight room opens
The Meyer Strength Training Facility, a nearly 3,000 square-foot weight training room in the Small Multi Sports Center, opened in the fall. Celebrating the dedication at homecoming were (from left) athletics director Ellen Whale, Kathie Adams Meyer '67, senior basketball player Bindy Comito, and Kendall Meyer '65.

Women’s tennis takes IIAC title
The Rams ended Luther’s 20-year reign as Iowa Conference women’s tennis champion. Cornell was led by freshman Sarah Leavenworth,
who was named Most Valuable Performer after winning No.1 singles and placing second with freshman Steph Froehlich at No.1 doubles.
Cornell’s Fred Burke ’70 was named Coach of the Year for the second time in four years.
