Biology Majors - Where Are They Now?

This list represents some of Cornell's alumni who majored in biology and was culled from college records and the Website (www.cornellcollege.edu/biology).

Jeaneen Andorf ’97 is a research technician at the University of Iowa School of Medicine.

Melena Bellin ’99 is a medical student at the University of Minnesota.

Daryl Boness ’72 is a research zoologist and head of the research department at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, D.C.

Jennifer Brannan ’98 is a graduate student in virology at the University of Texas-Houston, working on drugs that block HIV infection.

John Bristol ’61 is retired dean of the College of Science at the University of Texas, El Paso.

James R. Brown ’68 is president/CEO of Hardin County Savings Bank in Eldora, Iowa, and is a Cornell trustee.

Wendy Buresh ’74 is a family physician in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and serves on the Cornell Board of Trustees.

Donald G. Butterfield ’60 is a physician with Denver Aurora Gastroenterology and is past president of the Board of Fellows of the University of Denver.

Dave Campbell ’74 was chief technical advisor to a major United Nations Food and Agricultural project in Kenya.

Kari Christensen ’99 is a PhD student in molecular and cellular biology at Duke University.

Andrew Craig ’99 is a high school biology teacher in Storm Lake, Iowa.

John Mark Dean ’58 is professor of marine science at the University of South Carolina and director of the Center for Environmental Policy.

Lawrence D. Dorr ’63 is an orthopedic surgeon in La Canada, Calif.

Marc Epstein ’70 is an optometrist in Great Neck, N.Y., who lectures and teaches nationally and won a national award for his research.

Jackie Fallon ’87 is a zookeeper at the Minnesota Zoo.

Nick Hall ’99 is employed in research at Cargill in Memphis.

James N. Ingle ’66 is professor of oncology at Mayo Medical Center and was listed in Good Housekeeping as “One of America’s 184 Top Breast Cancer Doctors.”

Rick Jirsa ’78 is an oral surgeon in Prescott, Ariz.

Bill Kettelkamp ’53 is a retired physician and director of the emergency-trauma center at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Donald Kettelkamp ’52 is a retired physician in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Douglas H. Kirkpatrick ’65 and Robert L. Kruse ’62 are physicians in Englewood, Colo.

Joseph Long ’65 is a dentist in Yarmouth, Maine.

John K. MacGregor ’41 is a retired surgeon in Mason City, Iowa, and a past chair of the Cornell Board of Trustees.

Laurie MacGregor ’74 teaches at an international school in Caracas, Venezuela.

Robert P. Maly ’62 is a physician in Fresno, Calif.

Kendall R. Meyer ’65 is an attorney who won more than $48 million for the expropriation of a client’s assets by Iran.

Nancy Babbs Miller ’93 works on the genome sequencing project at the Monsanto Co.

James Moore ’55 is a plastic surgeon in Houston.

Robert Replogle ’60 is chief of cardiac surgery at Columbus Hospital in Chicago and past president of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

Tim Roth ’97 is pursuing a PhD in ecology at Indiana State University.

Beth Schultz ’98 is a PhD student in anthropology and molecular biology at the University of California-Davis.

Kristin (McClary) Stegner ’94 is director of business development at Lifespan Bioscience Inc. She completed a PhD in biochemistry and an MBA at Colorado State University.

Sarah Titler ’00 is a medical student at the University of Iowa.

Wai Lim Tsui ’76, former manager of systems and support at a bank in Hong Kong, lives in San Francisco and works as a management consultant for banks.

Edward Voss Jr. ’55 is professor and research scientist in the department of microbiology at the University of Illinois and has lectured internationally.

Max V. Wisgerhof II ’64 is a physician at Henry Ford Hospital, Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.

Janet Wolter Grip ’46 is professor of medicine at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.

Yutaka Yoshida ’55 is president of Hirosaki University in Japan.
