Cedar Rapids
The Greater Cornell Club met Feb. 5 for a reception and watched a hockey game featuring the new team, the RoughRiders. Dan Bontrager ’90 and Kristi Robinson Bontrager ’92 coordinated the event.
A holiday tea was held at Methwick Manor on Dec. 7, hosted by CASA (Cornell Alumni Student Association).
Chicago
Cornell College Club of Chicago held a picnic and attended Duke Ellington Night at Ravinia Music Festival on Aug. 29, 1999. President Les and Katrina Garner attended. Coordinated by Ann Holcomb Carlson ’55, honorary alum Diane Conklin, and Tom Jarom ’66.
A “Cornell Connections” after-work gathering Nov. 4 at Ranalli’s featured John McDonough, Chicago Cubs vice president for marketing and broadcasting. Coordinated by Mike Conklin ’69.
“Color Me Cornell,” the annual winter party, was held Feb. 26 at the Mars Gallery and recognized artists in the Chicagoland and professor emeritus Hugh Lifson. Hugh and Sue Lifson and President Les and Katrina Garner attended. Coordinated by Jodi Enger ’91, Liana Overly Allison ’89, Danielle Bright ’97, Charles Berg ’93, and Anna-Doretta Dilly ’90.
Denver
Lynn Luce ’91 coordinated a Feb. 22 after-work reception for the Cornell College Club of the Rockies, “The Mountain Toppers,” at Hemingway’s.
Beth Douma ’91 coordinated a picnic and Jazz in the Park concert in City Park on July 23.
Independence, Ohio
Alumni from Northeast Ohio met for brunch at LePetit Ballroom/Hilton Cleveland South on April 9. Walter Crow ’50 coordinated.
Phoenix
Joe Morton ’50 and honorary alumna Joy Gaarde Morton hosted a Valley of the Sun Club golf outing and dinner at Mountain Shadow’s Golf Club and Resort on Nov. 7.
The Mortons also coordinated a reception at Lombardi’s Restaurant followed by an evening at Actors Theater of Phoenix on March 23.
San Diego

President Les and Katrina Garner joined alumni March 4 for a luncheon and tour of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens with Marge Littell Schmiel ’41, followed by an evening reception at the home of Mark Tilton ’36 and Mabel Williams Tilton ’38 in Longboat Key, Fla.

An after-work gathering at Capitol Hill Brewing Company was held Oct. 6. RJ Holmes ’99 and Martha Huizenga ’89 coordinated.
