 During a March block break trip to California, the women’s tennis team donned the purple and white as members of the studio audience at “The Price is Right” game show. About six contestants into the show came the well-known phrase, “Lindsey Pfalmer, come on down! You’re the next contestant on ‘The Price Is Right.’ ”
Pfalmer, a freshman two-sport athlete from Colorado Springs, Colo., went on to win an outdoor storage shed and a bedroom set. The show was televised in April.
Cornell enjoyed success on the court as well, winning matches against Occidental and Whittier to improve to 17-1 on the season. Pflamer finished her first year 21-6 at No. 1 singles and 21-9 at No. 1 doubles.
