 Richard Small '50 (right) was honored with the 2000 Stanley S. Kresge Award from the United Methodist Foundation for Christian Higher Education, which annually recognizes a Methodist who demonstrates dedicated membership to the church and unselfish support of United Methodist-related education. He and his wife, honorary alumna Norma Thomas Small, were on campus in March for the debut of a lecture series they founded and underwrote. Prominent Chicago minister Walter Johnson Jr. (center) spoke at Cornell and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.
