Junior Christy Hamilton, a two-time conference tennis champion, was named to the academic all-American women’s spring at-large second team. She was the only Iowa Conference athlete voted to the team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The American Baseball Coaches’ Association named junior Tony Castillo honorable mention in the Division III All-Central Region.
Wrestling coach Steve DeVries and assistant coach Curt Heideman will swap jobs. DeVries, the winningest coach in Cornell history with an 18-year record of 130-122-3, will concentrate on teaching and developing the physical education curriculum.
