With One-Course-At-A-Time, one might expect Cornell students to
have lightweight backpacks. Alas, most are as bulky as senior Abby
Clark's. Clark is the Webteam student manager and majors in math
and computer science with a minor in studio art. She edited the
2001 Royal Purple, serves as secretary to the Environmental Club,
tutors computer science students, and belongs to the Cornell chapter
of BACCHUS (Boosting Alcohol Consciousness Concerning the Health
of University Students). Above is what this Illinois native and
future Webmaster carries in her backpack.
1) Graphing calculator
2) Mints
3) Mail
4) Pain reliever for headaches induced by seven- to eight-hour math
tests
5) Theory of Modern Algebra I & II, which she says are Cornell's
hardest math classes
6) Palm Pilot for taking notes and writing one- to two-page papers
7) CDs she burns with her favorite music, including Robbie Williams,
Aerosmith, and Disney soundtracks
8) Webteam assignments
