Two hundred sixty-three alumni, friends, and foundations have pledged $12 million to the Arts at Cornell campaign, the largest capital project in Cornell history. A remaining $4 million is needed to convert Alumni Hall for the art department and renovate Armstrong Hall for the music and theater departments. Construction began on Alumni Hall in March and groundbreaking for the Kimmel Theatre addition to Armstrong Hall is planned for June. The current Armstrong Theatre--seen here being prepared for a producgttion of Tartuffe--will become a flexible studio space for teaching and performing.
