Gray, White, Brown, and Black

The study of the meaning of life, the nature of reality, and the existence of God is sometimes black and white, sometimes gray, and sometimes even brown at Cornell. This fall, Karen Brown joined professors Paul Gray and Jim White in the philosophy department. In alternate years biology professor Bob Black teaches a course on environmental ethics with White. The department will be colorfast for at least two years, the length of Brown’s appointment.
