Phi Lambda Xi women’s social group was selected by the Iowa Department of Transportation to receive a Governor’s Volunteer Award. The Phi Lambs were the first Cornell organization to participate in the Adopt A Roadway program.
The 1999-2000 Cornell College Mortar Board chapter received two awards: the Silver Torch Award for successful management of the chapter and the Project Excellence Award for the Second Annual Mortar Board Charity Auction. Of 200 Mortar Board chapters nationwide, about 30 received either honor.
