He's a distance runner, has degrees in law and French literature, and much like the liberal arts colleges he's served for more than a decade, he's grounded in the past and looking toward the future. Most significantly, he's Cornell's incoming president.

Architect's legacy on the Hilltop

Cass Chapman left a legacy to Cornell in King Chapel and Bowman-Carter Hall, which dominate and define the Hilltop. Although not a celebrated architect in his time, Chapman's remaining structures are landmarks in their respective communities.
