My fellowship experience: This fellowship allowed me to hone in on my strengths as a student. It motivated me to continue on my path in pursuit of education reform and has provided me with confidence in my academic ability that did not exist before. I have learned to conduct oral history interviews effectively. I also gained experiences and skills that will translate to my position as a 2013 Teach For America corps member.
