My fellowship experience:
I think my time in Washington D.C. was an invaluable experience which will help me immensely down the road. There is a saying that “you can’t work on the (Capitol) Hill until you have Hill experience”. This Fellowship has allowed me to break through this paradox and hopefully will help guide me to my next step after Cornell. When I graduate I truly wish to return to Washington and help make a difference. I have learned things that simply are not in any textbook or classroom.
