About Chelsea
Major: Geology, Art
Hometown: Adel, Iowa
My fellowship experience:
"As Cornell offers no course in Paleobotany, I am gaining knowledge on a
topic that I probably would not have explored in my undergraduate
career...As long as I have been
interested in geology, I have wondered what it would be like to work in
an academic museum like the Field. And I am very excited to see what
more this internship has to offer and reveal."

Aims of the Fellowship
The primary goal of this fellowship is to learn and experience the processes of a museum, specifically the work environment of the paleontologists, the methods and types of research conducted, and the position of the collections manager. This goal will be attained by shadowing the collections manager of paleobotany, assisting in collections cataloging, and discussions with staff.
