Aims of the Fellowship
I did archival research to continue the investigation of my topic on the cultural and "racial" relationship that existed between Seminole Indians and Africans during the early to mid nineteenth century that I started in June 2007 during the SHEAR/Mellon Seminar at the McNeil Center for Early American History at the University of Pennsylvania.
