Cornell College conferred degrees on 271 students during its annual Commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 10.
Philip Venticinque, assistant professor of classics, gave the faculty address. Benjamin Rosen, a graduating senior from Portland, Oregon, gave the student address.
The Commencement ceremony was the final event of a weekend that celebrates the achievements of the graduating class. Other events include a reception for graduating seniors on Friday and the annual Baccalaureate service. Seniors’ words of gratitude for family, friends, and mentors were read at the service. The Rev. Catherine Quehl-Engel ’89, college chaplain, delivered the sermon.
