ICAP Information for Host Sites
As part of the ICAP program, the Civic Engagement Office seeks to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with local nonprofit organizations. Partner organizations can host an ICAP member for a portion of a student's 300 hour commitment to service. The program's objective is for each student to split their commitment between two community partners. This is a great opportunity to form lasting partnerships between the college and community organizations.
As a service site, agencies would be expected to provide training to students as needed and instruct them in planned, meaningful, volunteer service. The students should have a project supervisor to whom they will report and work with students to create a volunteer schedule. This supervisor may also be asked to provide feedback and evaluation on the student's work.
If you are interested in working with students to make a difference in our community, or if you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact the Civic Engagement Office.
