New Student Orientation (NSO) Service Day takes place every fall at Cornell, welcoming our incoming students to campus and connecting them to Cornell's many community partners.  Cornell College students, faculty, and staff come together on this day to partake in various community service projects in Mount Vernon and the surrounding area.

In 2012, 267 new students, 30 returning students, and 28 faculty and staff completed projects throughout the greater Cornell community.  This comes to 325 Cornellians completing 866.75 hours of service.

If you are a community partner interested in hosting a group of students for a NSO service day project, please contact the Civic Engagement Office.
