Peanut butter toffee cookies
| ½ c shortening | 1½ c flour |
| ¾ c peanut butter | ¾ t baking soda |
| 1¼ c brown sugar | ¾ t salt |
| 3 T milk | |
| 1 T vanilla | 8 oz pkg Heath chocolate toffee bits |
| 1 egg |
Beat together shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla until well blended. Add egg and beat until just blended. Combine dry ingredients, mix, and add gradually to peanut butter mixture, blending continuously. Stir in 1 cup of bits, drop onto cookie sheet, top with remaining bits, and bake at 375 for 7-8 minutes.
