State of Iowa Financial Assistance Programs

  • Iowa Tuition Grants are available to students who are Iowa residents, attend a private Iowa college, and demonstrate financial need. Application deadline for the Iowa Tuition Grant is June 1.

  • State of Iowa Scholarships provide scholarship funds to Iowa residents attending an Iowa college. Recipients are chosen during their senior year in high school. The State of Iowa Scholarship is only applicable to a student's freshman year.

  • Iowa Work Study Program provides on-campus employment opportunities for students with demonstrated financial need. Work awards are $800-$1200 per year. Students are paid minimum wage once a month.
