Admission by Transfer
Students seeking to transfer to Cornell College from another college or university should follow Steps 1 and 2 of the regular admission procedure. In addition, the transfer student must arrange for official transcripts to be sent to Cornell College which indicate all academic work undertaken at other colleges or universities. A statement of good standing at the institution last attended must be included. Students not in good standing at other colleges should not apply at Cornell.
College credits presented by transfer students will be evaluated in terms of the institutions represented, the quality of the work, and the relationship of the subject matter to the Cornell curriculum (see Credit by Transfer). The equivalent of 16 courses (64 semester hours or 96 quarter hours) is the maximum credit granted to graduates of colleges which have a two-year curriculum. Students who have completed a degree at another institution will be evaluated as transfer students.
