Combined Degrees Program in Occupational TherapyCornell and the School of Medicine of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, offer qualified students the opportunity to earn a baccalaureate degree from Cornell and the degree of Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University. Students spend a minimum of three years at Cornell and two academic years plus one summer at the University plus an additional six months in a clinical internship. Although the practice of occupational therapy is a direct application of psychology and biology, students may also major in other disciplines; especially recommended are economics and business, computer science, art, and sociology. To be eligible for this Three-Two Program students must satisfy Cornell's requirements set forth under ``Degree Programs in Combination with Professional Schools" and "Combined Degree Programs''and complete the following courses: Biology 141 and 142 (Foundations I and II) and 324 (Comparative Animal Physiology); Chemistry 121 (Chemical Principles I); Interdepartmental 201 (Statistical Methods); Physics 101 (Introductory Physics I); Psychology 161 (General Psychology), 277 (Child Psychology), 381 (Abnormal Psychology); one course credit in Sociology or Anthropology; and one course credit in Politics or Economics and Business.
