Religious Life and Activities

Religious life and activities at Cornell seek to provide an atmosphere consonant with the religious heritage of the institution and conducive to the development of spiritual and moral values. The Religious Life Council sponsors service projects, study groups, forums, and films and brings to the campus nationally known speakers. Allee Chapel is open daily for private meditation. In addition to the groups listed under ``Student Organizations,'' there are informal gatherings of students and faculty involved in interdenominational or denominational services, study groups, and car pools for those who wish to worship in or visit the churches, synagogues, or mosque in Cedar Rapids or Iowa City. For more specific information, consult the College Chaplain, Professor Richard Thomas.
