Career Development CenterThe goal of Cornell's Career Development Center is to empower students and alumni by offering services which will help them acquire skills to choose and attain personally rewarding careers. The Career Development Center, located in the northwest wing of Ebersole, recognizes that career development is a life-long process. Some of the services provided to help students shape and implement their career goals include:
To enhance career opportunities, students are encouraged to take advantage of these services beginning with their first year at Cornell and follow guidelines outlined in the student handbook, The Compass. The Career Development Center is not an employment office, nor do they ``place'' anyone. Rather, students and alumni who effectively utilize the resources and services offered receive assistance in all five components of the career development process: 1) self-awareness, 2) occupational awareness, 3) career decision-making, 4) career planning, and 5) acting on options consistent with career goals.
