Resources for Alumni

The Career Engagement Center actively partners with Cornell College alumni across the globe to offer extraordinary learning opportunities for current students throughout the academic year and summer months. 

Top Five Ways for Alumni to Help Cornell Students

  1. Complete the Alumni Volunteer Form to get more information about potential partnership opportunities with students
  2. Submit the Referral Form to suggest a friend or colleague who might be a good networking contact for Cornell 
  3. Network with students (and fellow alumni!) using Cornell CAN!, the Career Action Network on LinkedIn
  4. Post or look for opportunities using JOIN, Cornell's online Job and Internship Network
  5. Stay in the loop with Career Engagement Center activities by following @CornellCEC on Twitter

Cornell alumni can also make an impact by serving as networkers, trainers, and hosts for CEC sponsored programs.

Networkers

  • Make connections with fellow alumni, work colleagues, neighbors, relatives, community organizations, etc., to facilitate opportunities for Cornell College students. 
  • When a great opportunity becomes available, think Cornell and contact the Career Engagement Center staff to see if there is a good student match.

Trainers

  • Help students learn skills needed to succeed in preparation for graduate/professional school and in the world of work (e.g., interview etiquette, financial management, personal branding).
  • Alumni can participate in presentations, workshops, and panel activities anywhere—on campus, off campus, and online.

Hosts

  • Sponsor Exploreships, internships, or Cornell Fellowships at their organization
  • Dine with students when students take CEC road trips to learn about various industries
