PURPLE BIKES  and BIKE SHOP

Looking for something fun to do?  Need to get across campus quickly?  Grab a Purple Bike and go for a ride!

BIKES OUT and ABOUT

Student staff have spent the past couple weeks working on and preparing the Purple Bikes for community use and we are pleased to announce that 10 Purple Bikes have been placed out on campus.  The bikes are available for use on a first come, first serve basis and can be found throughout campus.  Students are welcome and encouraged to use them to travel across campus, uptown and around town, but requested to always return it to a campus bike rack.  Student staff of the bike shop will be routinely collecting and providing maintenance to the Purple Bikes, in addition to working diligently to increase the size of the Purple Bike fleet.  All bikes after maintenance will be returned to the bike rack outside the Commons.  If you experience difficulties with a bike please bring it by the bike shop, or contact Mike Williamson, director of campus safety at mwilliamson@cornellcollege.edu.  Please report accidents to Campus Safety at x4299.

BIKE SHOP NOW OPEN!

Monday through Friday

3:30pm to 5:30pm

Student staff will be operating and staffing the Purple Bikes Bike Shop and offering minor maintenance and repairs to the campus community.  Labor will be free, however, parts must be supplied by the bike owner.  So, have a flat tire?  Brakes not working?  Seat falling off?  Bring it in and let the staff of the Purple Bikes Bike Shop take a look at it.  The Purple Bikes Bike Shop is located in the basement of Bowman Carter, directly off the Ped Mall.

The Purple Bikes and Bike Shop are a collaborative effort of Cornell College Campus Safety and Student Senate.
