How Your Gifts Help

   Supporting Resources For
   Today

Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund make an immediate and profound impact, enriching the lives of every student and faculty member, every day, in all corners of the college. These gifts give Cornell the flexibility to direct the financial resources where they are most needed. This “living endowment” allows the college to plan confidently, to minimize increases in tuition and fees, and to support the college’s highest priorities.  Every $60,000 given to the Annual Fund equals the annual income provided by $1 million in endowment.

Annual Fund
Campaign goal: $11 million

A primary purpose of this campaign is to increase unrestricted giving to support  current operations of the college. We seek to increase alumni giving participation to 42 percent, placing us in the top colleges in the nation in this category. The A newly developed offering made possible by Annual Fund contributors is  the Cornell Fellows program, where students are placed in a professional setting that matches their career interests for one to three months. Fellows go through a highly selective application process to be selected for high-level internships and professional mentoring. Each fellowship is supported by a $5,000 contribution.
