"Extraordinary Opportunities" Campaign Launched in Chicago

On April 5, 2008, more than 120 Chicago area Alumni gathered for the Chicago launch of Cornell’s Extraordinary Opportunities campaign. The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum provided a magnificent backdrop as President Les Garner introduced the College’s $92 million campaign. Alumni young and old were joined by faculty members Don Cell (emeritus, Business & Economics), A’amer Farooqi (Business & Economics, Faculty Director of the Berry Center for Economics, Business & Public Policy), Tony Plaut ’78 (Art) and Craig Tepper (Biology) as they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, drinks, dessert and the company of fellow Cornellians, punctuated by announced improvements, additions and upgrades to the campus that will truly create extraordinary opportunities for alumni to come.
