A favorite food in Asia is the Giant water bug. They are eaten fried or roasted depending on preference. They are easily collected around lights during the night in bodies of water.

Also nicknamed toe-biters, these insects can puncture the skin with their sharp beaks. With a powerful toxin they inject their prey and are able to suck their juices through their beaks.
