The Sydney Funnel-web Spider is one of the most venomous and dangerous arachnids. It has two very large fangs that pump its venom into the victim. Bites by this arachnid can cause serious illness and even death. The venom is usually more dangerous to humans and primates than other mammals. Although the males are said to be more dangerous than the females because only the males have the venom that attacks the nervous system, the females are still dangerous creatures. Some symptoms that may be experienced if bitten are local pain (pain where a person was bitten), numbness of the mouth, abdominal pain, and vomiting. These bites can lead to possible death. There is anti-venom available for treatment of a funnel-web bite.
