Venom is a toxin that is produced in the glands of some arthropods. The venom may be used as a defense mechanism against predators or it may be an instrument used to attack and catch prey. The method in which venom is delivered varies among. Some arthropods inject venom through their stinger such as bees and wasps while others have fangs that contain their venom, such as spiders. There is a wide range of symptoms that may occur if venom enters your body; it varies depending on the amount of venom and your immune systems reaction to each type of venom.
