Watch out for the Brown Recluse, this arachnid's bite is venomous. They can be identified by the violin shaped marking located on the cephalothorax although it is hard to see sometimes. Recluse spiders prefer to live in dark areas that are generally undisturbed, either indoors our out. They rarely bite without being disturbed but these bites can occur when being handled either purposely or accidentally. Most Recluse bites can heal without scarring but sometimes scars are unavoidable. Reactions to the venom depend on the amount of venom injected. Victims of the Recluse bite may have symptoms that range from a small red bump to a painful deep wound. While bites may be serious, Recluse bites rarely cause death.
