The saliva of an assassin bug can be dangerous to humans if it comes in contact with the eyes or nose, the saliva can cause severe irritation and even temporary blindness. Assassin bugs are known to bite if handled carelessly. Some assassin bugs can spit there venom three or more feet and can spit up to sixteen times per second. The bite of an assassin bug is painful and can result in swelling that can last for days. |
